As you all know, its the world cup now. So I shall dedicate one post to the world cup!!

I am not a fan of soccer, but I dont mind watching it if it is right in front of me (only i might get bored and drift off sometimes). I also have no idea who is going to the quarterfinals etc, except Australia lost to Italy - Cos my local boss is an aussie and he was in such a foul mood.....

With reference to World Cup, there are different types of people in the world. Some examples are as follow:

1. Big soccer fan - Places bets, eat, sleep and walk soccer (only for the world cup duration)
2. Big soccer fan - Doesnt place bets.
3. No-clue-to-whats-going-on-soccer-fans - Doesnt enjoy soccer. Only listens to peoples conversation.
4. Doesnt like soccer fan - Dont enjoy watching soccer, but watches soccer for the sake of watching.... so that he/she can make intelligent conversation and network at the same time... (Now you see where i am coming from. YES! This is my target for today's post.

The typical Type 4 fans - Doesnt like soccer fans watches for the sake of networking. He walks into office, leaves his bag on his chair, switch on the pc, heads straight to the big shot's room and talks about soccer (mostly about what he saw at the previous days match and research materials he got from long hours in front of the pc at home - Thats why he is always late).

This type 4 fans, when miss a chance to watch a match or two or maybe three, have completely no idea what is going on when people talk soccer, they will be at a loss (esp when it is a dept lunch). And not forgetting the wonderful LOST opportunity where every one can hear and feel his intelligence... The main reason. His hard disk crashed!

When hard disk of these type 4 fans crashes, he cant watch soccer because he doesnt not have cable can only watch it from PC.
When his hard disk crashes, he says: "I haven been watching soccer since sunday" - As if watching soccer is a homework instead of an enjoyment...

When the hard core fans misses a chance to watch soccer, he will still be able to carry on a conversation intelligently.
When the hard core fans hard disk crashes or TV got over-heated, he will say: "I missed so many matches" instead of treating it as a chore...
